About Carolyn

Through the power of strong visuals and crisp audio, I transform my clients’ visions into engaging videos. My clear communication and attunement to each client’s needs make the video creation process as straightforward and effective as possible.

I have been creating videos professionally since 2020 and working as a digital marketer since 2019. My repertoire includes interviews, live events and snappy social media snippets created for businesses and organizations including Simon Pearce and the Hopkins Center of the Arts at Dartmouth.

Outside of work, I enjoy cataloging the diversity of wild mushrooms in the Vermont woods and experimenting in my tiny kitchen. Seaweed cake anyone?

Goldenrod with a pollinator visiting it

Why goldenrod?

The dazzling blooms of goldenrod fill my heart with joy each summer’s end. Every stem produces hundreds of tiny golden flowers overflowing with nectar and pollen. While our eyes are drawn to the blooms, countless bees, butterflies and beetles flock to dine upon goldenrod's copious nectar.

Much like our namesake, at Goldenrod Creative we craft eye-catching media that draws in diverse audiences to share our clients’ stories.

What about sneezes?

As a marketing professional, I feel it is my duty to clear goldenrod’s name. Legions of sneezing and sniffling allergy sufferers curse goldenrod each fall, while the true culprit goes undetected. Goldenrod is a solely insect-pollinated plant—the pollen’s only means of travel is to hitch a ride on the legs of a visiting pollinator.

So unless you’ve been sniffing pollinators, you likely have Giant Ragweed to thank for your allergies. This wind-pollinated plant unleashes massive amounts of pollen onto the airwaves each fall, cackling silently as folks blame goldenrod instead. So this autumn, appreciate goldenrod in its full glory—knowing that its pollen is nourishing its community and not agitating your sinuses.
